After the album "Santiago vivo" (2010), "Fragilidad indestructible" is the title of the artist's new album, a work of nine musical compositions that from the ensemble incorporate the force of the wind, together with the friction of the strings, to expose a a new soundscape that reflects on the silent stroke of the painter, which goes beyond matter by diluting the corporality of color.
Saxophonist, composer, soloist, producer, researcher, manager, trade unionist and conductor, Andrés Pérez Muñoz (1983) has stood out on the Chilean art scene for the indisputable lyrical stamp of his compositions, a talent that has allowed him to win the 2017 Pulsar Award. together with the Mapocho Orchestra -former, director- and in 2019 with Contracuarteto -jazz group-, while being nominated in 2005 for the Latin Grammy -together with the Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Ed Motta- for Best Jazz Album, among other awards or acknowledgments.
Likewise, Andrés Pérez is the creator of the first compilation book of unpublished jazz and national fusion works, the “Real book chileno”, while as a session player he has recorded over 500 albums together with national and international artists in parallel to his participation as a composer in various documentaries and films, as well as music producer.
Currently the famous musician is the teaching director of the Superior School of Jazz, and artistic director of the Osorno Municipal Orchestra.
