Sid Ferreira - Kinda Brazilian Jazz (2023) Hi Res

Two years after covering songs by Ivan Lins in Tanto amor (2021), an album in tribute to the MPB composer, the singer, songwriter, guitarist and arranger from Rio de Janeiro Sid Ferreira restores his discography to an authorial track with Kinda Brazilian jazz.

The artist's fourth album, Kinda brazilian jazz is being released today, May 26, and already reflects in the title Ferreira's intention to make a Latin jazz "made in Brazil", as shown on the cover of the disc, created by Rodrigo Pin from by Gabriel Santos.

The artist's Brazilian jazz has a Latin flavor because Sid Ferreira's intention was to mix, in the recording of his authorial repertoire, national musical genres – such as samba and choro – with Latin American rhythms such as bolero, salsa, cumbia and rumba.

On the disc, Sid presents themes such as After sunrise, Cilada, Dudu não anda de trem, Feeling love and Solto with the touches of musicians from the suit of Alexandre Caldi (sax and flute), José Arimatéa (trumpet and flugelhorn) and Sérgio Chiavazzoli (mandolin ).

Indiana Nomma, Helô Tenório and Laira Góes make up Sid Ferreira's guest team on Kinda brazilian jazz, an album that succeeds Sem Fantasia (2016) and Outro 500 (2017) in the artist's authorial discography.
