Khalil Epi - Romena (2023)

With this new EP Romena - a traditional Sfaxian song - KHALIL EPI continues to push the boundaries of electronic music into North African culture. In this four-track EP, the Tunisian producer and multi-instrumentalist conduct an exciting mix of heavy bass music and traditional rhythmic patterns, creating a unique musical experience that transcends cultural boundaries. The tracks are energetic and catchy, offering a dynamic atmosphere perfect for club dancers and festival-goers.

Khalil EPI’s work revolves around the electronic and contemporary reinterpretation of North African traditional and popular music. After the success of his album Frigya with percussionist Imed Alibi, and the project Aïta mon amour with Moroccan singer Widad Mjama, he returns with Romena to introduce Tunisian popular music into clubs and festivals around the world.
