The «Charlie Sinfonico» debuts at Isorella for Brescia and Bergamo, capitals of culture: appointment this evening at the Sala Polis in via Garibaldi with the new show that brings together two protagonists of Brescian music such as Charlie Cinelli, the king of vernacular «Brèsa Music», and maestro Francesco Andreoli, long known as director of Bandafaber. At the centre, the symphonic reinterpretation of the great dialectal classics of the Valtrumplino singer-songwriter, staged for the occasion with the Orchestra Bassa Bresciana Insieme, a 20-piece ensemble directed by Andreoli. Who, rearranging the material of his friend Charlie, did not want to take anything away from the freshness of the original product, acting in a respectful perspective to create a new excursus in which sonorities alternate at the same time graceful and melancholic, deep and sparkling. «The Brescian territory holds a still unpublished cultural heritage, largely confined to our own language – say the two protagonists -. For this reason, many Brescian artists, on the occasion of this great 2023 event, have launched an appeal for the enhancement of the dialect. We are more than convinced that a large and strong reality like the province of Brescia should be proud of its roots». As many as 14 songs by Cinelli taken from his albums, revised and corrected by Andreoli for the concert: but in the lineup there will also be two unpublished works composed by the two musicians for the occasion. During the evening, a live CD will also be recorded, the second in pairs for Cinelli and Andreoli, who had already collaborated together in 2009 for the «Sta 'n banda» project. The new album will be distributed as early as the end of May, faithfully documenting an adventure for which both have preferred to use the term "game": remembering how in English or French there is no difference between the terms to play and play: "to play», «jouer». «Often on the occasion of the presentation of new artistic projects we talk about work or even "musical effort" – they explain -. But in our intentions this show wants to be a real divertissement, a transversal union of not distant genres, an original stylistic contamination. An operation born from the point of view of a game».
