The Receiver, the latest band to join the Kscope family alongside worldwide acclaimed artists including the likes of Steven Wilson, Anathema, The Pineapple Thief & Engineers, release their new album All Burn on 22nd June. The symphonic dream-prog duo from Columbus, Ohio, USA, is comprised of brothers Casey (vocals, synths/keyboards, bass) & Jesse Cooper (drums & vocals). Formed in 2005, the band were picked up after only a few live performances by New York-based Stunning Models On Display Records and & released their debut album Decades in 2006 . Their sophomore album Length Of Arms followed in 2009 through Vital Music Records. They have been featured on MTV2's "Bands on The Rise" and have songs included on the FX Network's series "Dirt" as well as a number of independent shorts and films. All Burn, their new self-produced third album, was mixed by Danny Kalb (Beck, Ben Harper, Karen O) and mastered by Brian Lucey (Sigur Ros, The Shins, The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys). Taking their musical influences from the likes of Mew, Blonde Redhead, Radiohead, Air and Pink Floyd the brothers are boasting their best material to date focusing on a dreamier aesthetic than their earlier work. The band pride themselves on their use of a wide variety of instrumentation to create their signature sound utilising both analog and digital synths (Oberheim matrix 6, Korg MS2000, Omnisphere, Nord Electro), acoustic grand piano, bass guitar, drums/percussion and vocals. The first single / video promo track to be released from the album will be 'Transit'. The Receiver are an incredibly active touring act having played throughout North America sharing the stage with notable artists such as St. Vincent, Midlake, The Album Leaf, Mono, Dawes, Royal Canoe, Maserati, Telefon Tel Aviv & Operators to name a few as well as performing at 2014's CMJ festival in New York. The band have two shows confirmed in their hometown of Columbus in April and June with a national tour due to be announced soon. 'All Burn' is packaged in a digipack sleeve with a 16 page colour booklet Amplifier Magazine: "Length of Arms, their flawless sophomore effort, is indeed a grand statement comprised of sophisticated melodies, somnambulant interludes, and sweeping dynamics - all rendered in a seamless song-cycle..."
