Blackwater Bayou is a Southern Rock and Blues band from Central Arkansas. Kristofer, Richard, Brad and Chris play with a nod to the great music of long ago. They play loud, honest music with stories about their lives, experiences and hometowns. Blackwater Bayou has built a local following of loyal fans based on a great live show, with original music along with influences that made them the band they are today.
Their debut album, "Blackwater Bayou", was released in March 2022. It was produced and recorded at Granite Mountain Studios in Alexander, AR and mixed and mastered at Van Scyoc Studios in Jonesboro, AR.
From the opening riffs on "Ain't Going Down" to the reflections and stories in "Cypress Street" and "Out of Here" and the dynamics of "The Flood" and 'The Sprawl", "Blackwater Bayou" is an album that is meant to be loud and played with the windows down.
The band returned to the studio in early 2023 to record their second album, "American Dream". The title track was released on June 30, 2023. The full album release is planned for July 28, 2023.
