'Eidolon' has hardly had time to marinate, but it's hard to complain when you're getting more of a good thing. 'The Sweat of Earth' sounds as if it could have emerged from the same recording sessions; a long-form, durational piece, it's rooted in the same tonal landscape as its predecessor. Suggestive environmental recordings rustle us into compliance, heedfully making way for Amini's manicured drones and reflecting pools of subterranean ambience.

The piece peaks in the central section, when clusters of un-tempered instrumental sounds ring loudly alongside scrapes and rumbles before being drowned out by the city's dense racket. Recommended.
