Surprising works from the time of the classical era! Spanning three decades, "Zeitenfluss 1774-1804" presents works that in their titles and arrangement - for flute and (general) bass - are based on the Baroque, but at the same time point to the new era.

Often with flowing transitions between the old and the new style: between the four- or many-voiced and the modern dynamically flexible, sometimes only one- or two-voiced playing.

This affect-accentuated basso continuo practice now gives the player the freedom to decide spontaneously on the respective presentation of the affect and the support of the melody in a spectrum from unison to full fingering.

First recordings of virtuoso sonatas for flute and harpsichord in the new style of the late 18th century are fascinatingly and captivatingly staged here in astonishingly dynamic presentation.
