Cinematic instrumental post-rock/post-metal quintet Din Of Celestial Birds formed in Leeds, UK in 2019 as the solo studio project of guitarist Andie Gill. Posting their debut EP on Bandcamp was met with great praise, and word of mouth traction allowed Andie to expand his vision into a blossoming live outfit. Din Of Celestial Birds have now burst to life with their textured and dynamic wall of sound approach, capturing pummelling riffs, swirling melodic passages and shimmering atmospheric textures. The quintet's sound encompasses many influences from the post-rock and post-metal world, from the heavy riffs of bands like Pelican, the alluring melodic grace of MONO, to the dynamic interplay of Explosions In The Sky. "Their set was incredible, really intense, and deeply emotional; powerful right in the gut, at an almost spiritual level." ~ Ghost Cult Magazine "I want you to book Din of Celestial Birds for ArcTanGent; huge Maybeshewill vibes!" ~ Gavin Mcinally (founder of Damnation Festival) talking to James Scarlett (founder of ArcTanGent) whilst wearing a DOCB shirt.
