Born in 1952 in Lausanne, Charles de Ribaupierre started his musical journey in 1967, playing in Royal System, After Storm, Phallus and Flight.
Until the late 70's he developed his personal music style and a taste for Psychedelic and Prog Rock.
In 1983 he created the STOP Orchestra which released one 7" single.
And now, after decades of silence, he's back to tell us the story of Boudu!
As the name suggests, this album is telling us the story of Boudu. His journey begins at the karmas office where he receives the objective to spend his life doing absolutely nothing as a human rights civil servant. pretty self explanatory, right?
Musically this record truly is a blast from the past, in the best way possible.
We will find ourselves somewhere inbetween Jethro Tull, Dire Straits and Pink Floyd, just to name a few.
Due to a set of unlucky and lucky circumstances, Charles (the mastermind behind Alpenstock) managed to give us access to the music he had stored in his mind for 50 years. Hell yeah!
