Christian Death - Sex And Drugs And Jesus Christ (1995)

With calculated-to-shock cover art depicting the latter two elements of its title, Sex & Drugs & Jesus Christ offers more of what had by then become fairly standard-issue material for Valor Kand and Gitane Demone -- heavy goth-rock bordering on metal, with theatrically dark lyrics critical of organized religion (and which can sound too reliant on the band's thesaurus at times). The problem is that much of the material doesn't sound fully developed and meanders quite a bit; while there are some items here that will please fans, it's an inconsistent listen overall.
