"Underneath The Antarctic Sun" is the fourth full length album by Elijah Knutsen released under his Memory Color label.

The release re-introduces the Post-Rock genre to Elijah's catalog; having started producing instrumental tracks under his "Blårød" alias before moving mainly to ambient works under his own name.

The album is a crushing mix of ambient shoegaze, post-rock, experimental ambient, shibuya-kei, and noise.

Inspired by the heavy winds that relentlessly scream through the lonesome research stations in Antarctica.

Sensitive tracks such as Flower Vending Machines & 1.2 Million Clouds are starkly contrasted by eerie, eclectic noisescapes; Your Golden Voice No Longer Fills the Air. Old love songs are sampled and distorted, guitars are smashed against the pavement.. The album is a somber collection of recent events & feelings that have troubled and overwhelmed the artist.

The album is mixed/mastered/arranged to give the impression of an old, worn down cassette tape, or perhaps something heard while scanning through radio waves, alone in the distant wastes of Antarctica.
