Jamie Winchester, the holder of numerous prestigious author recognitions (eMeRTON, Artisjus, Jakab Líra awards), was a defining individual in the background of leading Hungarian projects (Baba Yaga, Boom Boom, Tátrai Band, Zsuzsa Koncz, Ákos, Jamie-Robi) for twenty years, but now he has seen his arrival the time to come out with a groundbreaking "protest rock" solo album. Jamie Winchester is the sole author of The Cracks are Showing, an exciting, eclectic XXI. century rock album.
"My last eight years, when I played together with Róbert Hrutka, were very fruitful. We were successful, but I felt it was time for a change and I had to go in a different direction. I understood the idea of making a solo album, it seemed a logical and natural step to make an independent record," said the 39-year-old singer, guitarist, composer Jamie Winchester born in Northern Ireland.
In terms of the sound of the debut album The Cracks are Showing, it is a mixture of the live-instrument-centric familiar from Jamie and the electronic world known from Márk Moldvai (ex-Neo, Mitsoura). The collaboration of two artists from different musical worlds resulted in an extremely diverse and groundbreaking album. The various instruments, sounds and effects fit together organically, so that the meaning of the songs comes into focus.
