Miho Hazama - m_unit: Beyond Orbits (2023) [Hi-Res]

Beyond Orbits is the vibrant new album from jazz composer and conductor Miho Hazama, performed by her ensemble “m_unit" which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2023. This album is testament to Miho's endless creativity and artistic vision that has prompted the remarkable growth of her career in Japan, Europe and the US.

Driven by a desire to escape the political turbulence and tumult of the past couple of years, Miho set about writing an album inspired by planets beyond our solar system. And thanks to a prestigious commission from the Monterey Jazz Festival, Miho created the "Exoplanet Suite" which sits at the very heart of this new record, music that evokes images of the complex web of planets beyond our reach.
