Remember when Gustaf bewitched us with their first album called Audio Drag For Ego Slobs in 2021. The Brooklyn band has experienced a completely meteoric and so deserved rise. This year, a member of the group who is Tarra Thiessen launches her side project called Tea Eater with a first album called Obsession.

Not straying from Gustaf's musical recipe, Tea Eater intends to intoxicate us with this subtle blend of art-punk and noisy surf-pop that makes all the difference. With a pinch of sci-fi and riot grrl, the Brooklyn troupe intends to impose its territory from the start with “Double” starting hostilities as it should be with these incisive riffs and this bewitching passion which are available on the impeccable “Fuck The DMV » and “Jack Nicholson” getting straight to the point.

In 26 minutes flat, Tea Eater brilliantly captures this celebration of self. This creative passion and freedom of expression is expressed as it should be through other hard-hitting killers such as “Pickup Truck” and “Respect The Wheel”. With this good humor that emerges from start to finish, Obsession puts the pressure on little by little with also “Saint Sardine” and the most excited conclusion that is “Cosmic Cosmonaut” where each member gives it their all.
