Massimiliano Biondi - Weather Alert (Live at Casa del Jazz) (2023)

"Weather Alert" by the Massimiliano Biondi Trio debuts today, with Francesco Bearzatti on sax, a great test of contemporary Jazz. October 6, 2023 marks an important moment for jazz music lovers with the launch of Weather Alert, the first album by the Massimiliano Biondi Trio, a live performance recorded at Casa del Jazz in Rome.

This work sees the special participation of the talented saxophonist Francesco Bearzatti and is published under the Camilla Records label of the Saint Louis College of Music.

The Massimiliano Biondi Trio has its roots within the SLMC, where it was founded in 2016. Since then, the trio has strongly established itself in the Italian jazz scene, performing at prestigious festivals such as the Festival Village Celimontana and the Eddie Lang Jazz Festival. They have also taken their music beyond national borders, making the audience vibrate at the Jazz Festival Terrasa in Barcelona.

The leader of the group, Massimiliano Biondi, shares the vision of the trio: “The desire is to explore the modernity of jazz. It is historical music that for the general public now seems forgotten. In reality, it is very much alive, with infinite new margins for experimentation and discovery. In this album we 'explored' harmonic modernity, timbral research, but also groove and melodic simplicity."
