Kinga Glyk is a young bass player, the daughter of the famous vibraphonist and drummer Irek Glick and the sister of Patrick (percussion instruments). They perform together as Głyk P.I.K Trio. In 2013 they also released the album "Released at Last", produced by the outstanding pianist, arranger and composer Joachim Menzel. The debut of this glorious bassist is a work that is a collection of eight songs with the participation of the aforementioned Irek Glick and Joachim Menzel, as well as Junior Robinson, Yorgos Skolias, Mirek "Kolah" Kolchik and Natalia Nemen. Just listen to the vocal parts of Jnr ("Tell You Who"), Yorgos ("You Gotta Serve Somebody", the Polish version of Bob Dylan's song "Gotta Serve Somebody") and Natalia ("New is Coming"), and you will understand how much spiritual power there is in these unique voices. It looks (or rather, it sounds) no different from music, where the beauty of the keyboard sound is accompanied by an extremely well-coordinated duet of bass and drums, confirming that the groove of the Glykov family is in the blood.
Kinga's intuition and talent can especially be heard in such compositions as "Sad Happy Blues", "Martin Luther King's Dream" and "Dolaniedola" (an instrumental version of the song by Czeslaw Nemen). Clearly, but unpretentiously – this is the case with this young bass player, who during the game shows us the uniqueness of classical, albeit non-standard forms. Praising normality and the victory of spirit over matter? So be it!
"Registration" is a universal term. We register not only sounds, but also images, smells, etc. elements of the puzzle called nature, building an image of the surrounding world in our minds. This is confirmed by the content of this album – everything was in its place, creating a significant piece of music.
