mu tate - Static (2019)

Edited Arts is launching Static by mu tate.

Static is a collection of 6 tracks recorded during the fall and winter season of 2018/19. Ambient yet experimental. Patient and introspective - the soundtrack for slowing down.

Giving it’s name to the release, track 5 titled Static is a collaboration with PAN affiliate Kareem Lotfy. Additionally, the EP includes a remix from Moscow based Art Crime.

mu tate is Artur Strekalov’s musical alias. From Riga, Latvia. Currently London-based. Previously released on ANBA, his current work continues to propose immersive sonic procedures for introverted consumption.

mu tate also runs a monthly radio show ‘inexact’ on Radio Sygma. The music is curated with a post-genre ideology and preference.


This is the 3rd release for the audiovisual label. As an experimental platform for artists, Edited Arts also coordinates events, films and radio shows.
