The Corby Yates sound and feel is literally beyond words. To see Corby live and witness the boundless passion and energy would make the hair on your arms stand up regardless if you like “Blues guitar” or not. It was deeper than that; Corby was operating on a higher field, channeling unrivaled depth and ferocity.

I originally heard Corby perform while I was on the West Coast, I was floored, Speechless, I stood and laughed because I could not believe what I was witnessing or hearing. I went on to become friends with the band which included his father, Jim on bass, following their trek and helping where I could, even booking and flying them to the Midwest US for a blues fest I produced where the band played alongside Tinsley Ellis, Richard Johnston and other modern heavyweights. I wanted others to witness what I did!

Corby was all soul and passion, no bullshit Rockstar antics: Pure and humble, disconnected next level bliss. Sadly, we lost Corby in the Fall of 2012 and it is with absolute honor and sincere pleasure to work closely with the Yates family, close friends and band mates to further spread the word and share the stunning and beautiful sound and story that is CORBY YATES (Damon Moreno)
