When brother and sister Tim and Mollie do a project together, it is an interesting amalgam of their individual styles and interests -- he primarily in acoustic bluegrass and country, she nestled into blues and jazz. This album includes such a variety of material; the gospel writing of Reverend Gary Davis, a contempory ballad by Judy Roderick and William Ashford, and Mollie's scat offering of a blues by Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson. Although the album as a whole is a little unfocused, it is still a joy to hear these two work together. Extra pleasant for the inclusion of guest players John Magnie, Steve Amedeeand Tommy Malone of the Subdudes.
