This is the first EXTON by Itsuki Sasanuma, an up-and-coming cellist who is widely active in Japan and abroad as a soloist, chamber musician, and guest principal player of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra.
This is a live recording of the Slovak Philharmonic's visit to Japan at Suntory Hall on July 6, 23. In addition to the Cello Concerto, an encore by Vltava (Moldau), Sasanuma and the Slovak Philharmonic from Smetana's masterpiece "My Fatherland" is coupled, making it one album that allows you to fully enjoy Czech music.
