Jessica (제시카) is a Korean American singer and actress. She was a main vocalist for Girls' Generation and is the older sister of f(x)'s main vocalist Krystal.

Jessica was born on April 18, 1989 in San Francisco, California. She was scouted by SM Entertainment while she was shopping with her parents in a Lotte Department Store in 2000. She moved to South Korea for training, enrolled in the Korea Kent Foreign School, and trained for seven years and six months before debuting in Girls' Generation; she graduated from Korea Kent Foreign School on November 4, 2007. Besides being featured and participating in soundtracks, she made her acting debut in the South Korean stage production of the American musical Legally Blonde as the main character Elle Woods.
