Tima Volozh - Barberia's Delight (2023)

Barberia’s Delight a cohesive blend of two generations aiming to explore the potential of symmetry within the storm. Tima Volozh on drums and Marshal Herridge on bass have been inspired and have taken refuge under the wings of one of the most innovative jazz pianist of our times Anthony Wonsey, known for his work with Elvin Jones, Kenny Garrett, Wallace Roney and Nicholas Payton. The project showcases Wonsey’s energetic, furious and imaginative soloing, melding them with compositional and textural impacts of Jake D’Ambra and Nick Rousseau, underpinned by Marshal Herridge’s solid yet active bass lines, as well as Tima Volozh’s melodic and interactive drumming. Together, Barberia’s Delight celebrates the spontaneity found in jazz and its power to unleash the hidden gems beneath still waters.
