With its bebop, "Bird" revolutionized jazz from the early 1940s and at the same time heralded the birth of modern jazz. A style that is still perfect for playing in a trio, as the Andreas Hertel Trio proves. After the album "Keepin' the Spirit" (2015, LAIKA Records), the Wiesbaden pianist and composer now presents "Blue Bop", which he recorded together with his longtime band-musicians Johannes Schaedlich on double bass and Jens Biehl on drums.

With his tenth album "Blue Bop" Andreas Hertel once again presents a successful combination of high-quality music and high entertainment value with his 11 own compositions.
