Concentrating on Pye Records' Nixa Jazz Today series output from the mid to late-fifties, this is a great introduction to what was happening in British jazz at that time. Also a chance to hear some otherwise very rare recordings by the likes of Art Ellefson, Joe Harriott playing with Allan Ganley's Quartet and Martin Slavin's take on some Benny Goodman.
