Shades of Blue contains a dozen new and original songs, that are performed and produced in a simple yet beautifully textured way. The songwriting is sometimes deep and sometimes playful, but always insightful and interesting. The songs range from sparse acoustic singer/songwriter coffee shop type songs to bouncy swing tunes, from folk-rock reminiscent of Wilco or the Jayhawks to hopeful and fun ukulele tunes.
