Hailing from Seattle by way of Wisconsin, Jack Shriner has been a bedroom songwriter and home recording artist since he was a teenager. He has toured throughout the Pacific Northwest and has been featured on NPR's All Songs Considered Open Mic and Ball of Wax's Audio Quarterly.

Today, Shriner also pulls inspiration from his work as a full-time mental health therapist. "On a regular basis, I see how intensely people can suffer, as well as how courageously people can move through and beyond their suffering. It seems like the longer I do this work, the kinder and more patient I've become with myself in pursuing music. I know it's something I have to do, and that as long as I'm chipping away at it, however slowly, I'm engaging honestly with myself and the world."

Shriner's expansive sound melds elements of dream-pop, folk rock, and prog. With three self-produced albums under his belt, his fourth, The Fluid Ounce, is due out February 19th, 2016. With each release, he continues to develop his recording skills, find his voice, and hone his sound.
