Jon Eberson & Knut Vaernes - Anatomy of the Guitar (2023)

Knut Værnes played in pop and rock bands such as Salt & Pepper, Shimmy, as well as the fusion band Vanessa (City Lips 1975), before studies in Oslo and Bergen brought him into the jazz milieu, i.a. with Jon Eberson. Jon Eberson played before this album in Moose Losse and was on the Blow Out album with, among others, Håkon Graf. Anatomy of the guitar is a low-key little gem, not too far from what McLaughlin/Di Meola/De Lucia were doing on a Friday night two years later.
