Amalie Dahl is a Danish saxophone player, composer and bandleader, currently based in Oslo (Norway). She is known for having a distinct sound and strong integrity both as an improviser and a composer.

On this live recording from their first performance together, the listener gets to experience the trio’s immediate chemistry through a lively and adventurous hour-long improvised set. They move confidently through polite introductions, interrogations, deep conversations and heated arguments before at last they reach tender reconciliation, as if they were old friends playing together.
