Perpetual Motion is a collection of songs I've put together from a range of genres. I really didn't intend a four year gap between my first album Jelly Legged and this. I feel I've improved as writer and I think I sing a little better now too. Can I pretend that all this improving is what caused the delay? That it wasn't constant self-criticism and binning of countless songs or even parenting and farming and you know, life. In all honesty, I've found it takes a lot of nerve to create art of any kind and then present it boldly to the community- in a form I can't even tweak afterwards! I feel qualified to speak about nerve, I used to break horses full-time. I can safely say it is with excitement and its ever present neighbour doubt that I am showing you these songs. This must be the age old 'torment of the artist' people talk about. I hope they bring happiness and anything that helps.
