Winther is a fine trumpeter leading a fine band on this impressionistic song cycle. In the spirit of Miles Davis' late 60s work and the extraterrestrial noodling of Sun Ra, the disc is adventurous without completely abandoning form and structure. Standouts include the painterly "Uranus" and the driving "Mercury".
