The Ex - The Ex at Bimhuis 1991-2015 (2015)

The Ex have defied categorization ever since they started playing in 1979. The band from Wormer has retained curiosity and passion for music. Departing from a line-up with guitars, bass, drums and voice The Ex continued to musically explore undiscovered areas right up to the present day. The musicians from The Ex have been regulars at the Bimhuis for years, first as visitors and improvised music aficionados and later as a band and with countless collaborative projects. The double album The Ex at Bimhuis (1991-2015) gives an impression of 25 years of performances at the Bimhuis. Its release is celebrated with a special concert with guest appearances by Ethiopian band Fendika, master reedists John Butcher and Ken Vandermark and Holland’s most adventurous drummer Han Bennink.
