London based three- piece Modern Guilt have just released their smoking new single ‘Talking To Myself’ in anticipation of their new EP, We’ll Always Have Vegas due for release on 8th March.

Kicking off with a thumping bassline akin to Bowie’s ‘Jean Genie’ and sounding like a lost The Doors b-side, ‘I Want To Show You God’ is the fourth single from the We’ll Always Have Vegas EP. Delving deeper into their vintage essence, this latest offering sees Modern Guilt deliver a more rhythmic offering than the previous guitar-driven singles, experiment with warmer acoustic and percussion tones, and befriend the space between the notes. Nostalgic but by no means oversaturated, ‘I Want To Show You God’ is a pounding anthem that can plunge listeners back to the days of yore and has already proven to be a live hit with their expanding legion of fans.

Speaking about ‘I Want To Show You God’, drummer Scott Thompson noted: “It’s two songs in one really; both the narrative of wanting to be wanted, and the complete abandonment of throwing yourself at lust and desire. On one hand it’s a little sitting outside of yourself and watching how these things unfold, but then there’s also a natural spiritual element of connection between two people. It’s like a cult leader writing a book on how to be wanted, and I want to be adored.”

Frontperson Jaz said, “The new EP is about the fruitless, delusional and intoxicating arc of reaching into the pit of ourselves and having a good rummage around, chasing complete pleasure and the internal narratives, stories and monologues that accompany each stage of the rise and fall, from looking for the cure to emptiness and loneliness into the circus of nights in and nights out and back to the beginning again.”

Taking inspiration from anything from The Doors and The Dandy Warhols, to not being morning people, the London-based outfit is set to release the long-awaited follow-up EP to 2021’s You’re Welcome, an understated 5-track oeuvre championed by the likes of tastemakers Steve Lamacq (BBC 6Music), John Kennedy (Radio X) and Jess Iszatt (BBC Radio 1/Introducing).

.With Modern Guilt’s careful concoction of alt-rock laced with psychedelic swagger, jagged and direct 90s Britpop, and Mick Jagger like charisma of their front person, the ensemble looks forward to sharing the brand new material with audiences.
