The Inventionis Mater is an acoustic duo, classical guitar & clarinet(s), involved in Frank Zappa's Music, re-writtene and translated to this small ensemble.

On this new album, Inventionis Mater meets double bass player Ferdinando Romano, voted 'Best New Italian Star' in Top Jazz 2020 (Musica Jazz's Critics Poll), and featuring Napoleon Murphy Brock (Tenor Saxophone, Vocals). Inventionis Mater began as a project with the meeting of clarinettist Pierpaolo Romani and guitarist Andrea Pennati in 2011. Their aim is to transcribe Zappa's great music for such an unfrequented duo as clarinet and guitar.
