Carlos “Sir Charles” González, Marcelo Peralta and Baldo Martínez are three of the best-known musicians on the Spanish jazz scene who came together to create a common project: the ZAS Trio. The group's repertoire is based almost exclusively on original compositions written by the three musicians. The songs are in line with post-free and other new jazz trends that use popular and contemporary music as sources of inspiration. The trio uses improvisation as their main creative engine offering a wide range of timbres and dynamic variations.
