Saintes.Glaces - Contrées (2024)

Saintes.Glaces is a polymorph project led by partners in life Lidwine de Royer Dupré aka Lidwine (voice) and Rolando Torres Martin (electronic). They've decided to creatively unite through a project that would know no rules and give them freedom to experiment. Contrées aims to be at the crossroads of worlds, a connection between cultures and time. Musical alchemy that draws on ethnomusical archives from Africa and that urban tribality, which permeates our bodies. Electronics are transformed here into electric tensions, a meeting point between Art Brut and contemporary technology, cheap sounds and rhythmic sophistication. Composed entirely by Rolando Torres Martin through his laptop, Contrées is monopolized by the voice of singer-songwriter Lidwine, a shamanic immersion with improvised scrolls. Saintes.Glaces' first EP, Contrées is the beginning of a musical experience that seeks to catapult our imagination into a collective unconscious. A mixture of free experiments and reflection on our current world.
