Chorale Anima - Born on Earth (2024)

Anima is a group of young singers and musicians from the Liège region. It was created around Joëlle Augustin, pianist and singer, and Jacques Swyngedouw, pianist and composer.

The group essentially revisits the pop-rock repertoire with original arrangements for mixed voices, string trio and piano.

After participating in the television competitions La France a un incredible talent and Belgium's got Talent, winning the competition for the best youth choir organized by Radio Nostalgie, reaching the semi-finals of the Euroradio competition supported by Musiq3, Anima won the Excellence prize at the 2023 International Appassionata Competition.

In January 2016, Anima released her first album Move on.

Since then, Anima has performed a series of concerts and festivals, including the Musiq3 festival in Flagey and the B3 Summer Concerts in Liège. Anima is regularly requested by the production houses Warner France, Universal and Sony Music to arrange and record the choruses on the albums of their artists such as Gérard Manset, Serge Lama, Damso, Cécile Corbel, Soprano, Hugues Aufray, Yannick Noah, Christophe Maé or Bigflo and Oli.

Anima regularly creates new shows, including Anima Rock at the Théâtre de Liège, with more than 100 singers and musicians in an explosive repertoire ranging from Deep Purple to Muse, including Queen, Aeroshmith, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Rammstein, U2 , Black

The second Album “Born on Earth” was recorded at the legendary ICP studios in Brussels and will be released in spring 2024.
