The electric outfit for Ohio balladeer Austin Stambaugh, The Electric Weepers are the premier model of the obscure country sound that stems from the northeast Ohio region. Elusive and shadowy, heavy and aloof, the band revolves around blues shuffles, train beats, and 6/8 waltzes that Stambaugh laments over with tenor voicings and blue collar prose. Recorded live to tape in December of 2023, in a living room in Akron, OH, their debut document “Way Down Here On Earth” is released to Nashville’s independent punk label Anticorporate Music.
