‘Reggae Blue’ was the second album recorded with The Reggae Guitars. Some of the Reggae Guitars wanted to move on and do their own thing, which meant exit Tony Hannaford, Tom Robinson, Malcolm Mortimer. It was a smaller band attempting to do a studio album. Gerald tried to push reggae in a number of different directions at once. ‘People’ was an angry tune anticipating punk and sung in an English accent (very unusual at the time). ‘Girls Best Friend’ mixes reggae with bluesy, funky piano. ‘Vagabond King’ is a bit like a folky ballad, while ‘Otis Blue’ is an out and out soul tune. All of the tunes were recorded at Delane Lea, Wembley.Title: Reggae Blue
