Since its inception in 2017, Sesión Libre Trío has been an ensemble that seeks to revitalize the styles of jazz and free improvisation at a cultural, diverse level and with a flow of energy that encompasses various collaborations. The project made up of Adriana Camacho (double bass), Rodo Ocampo (drums) and Ernesto M. Andriano (tenor saxophone), has consolidated multiple elements that range from rhythmic and syncopated walks in the imagination of free jazz, to the viscerality and stridency of noise. through the highest moments where atonality, dissonance and rapid dialogues of improvisation can take them. This collaborative and collective spirit has led the trio to play with creative artists from both the global and local circuit of the jazz universe, giving rise to multiple collaborations with other spirits, pianists, ensembles, instrumentalists and even electronic elements.

For 2022, the trio's sonic adventures reach an interesting dialogue with Phillip Greenlief. A saxophonist born in Los Angeles and resident of Oakland, active since the '70s. In 1995, he founded the Evander Music platform, publishing music from the region. In his time, he has collaborated and interacted with interesting key musicians of the improvisation and jazz genre, such as Wadada Leo Smith, Meredith Monk, Rashaun Mitchell, Fred Frith, Joelle Leandre, Trevore Dunn, Otomo Yoshihide, Marco Eneidi, Amanda Irrazabal , Industrial Jazz Group and even the punk band Thelonious Monster, among many more. Phillip Greenlief has a creative ethos, versatility and impressive imagery, and at the same time his improvisation initiatives, as well as concert series, have come to unite musicians from various generations and latitudes.

In Encuentro Espiritual, a dynamic is established with the base of low frequencies by Adriana Camacho, the intense pulses and frenetic grooves of Rodo Ocampo, to give rise to intense dialogues between the breaths of Ernesto M. Andriano and Phillip Greenlief, which although it is in highly dissonant parts and with a leaning towards extreme music, it also features colorful and warm musical moments. The album finally brings together six songs that appeal to a document that witnesses spontaneous, vivid and soulful moments, by Sesión Libre Trío; and an interesting collaboration that unites Latin American jazz with the west coast.
