Guiding us from birth to death, it is women who sit at the bedsides of the newborn and the dying. ONE'S FOR SORROW, TWO'S FOR JOY weaves the songs of wailing women, seers and witches into a dense concert honoring all those who have accompanied people for centuries on the margins of life.

TRËİ // Nordmann, Şimşek and Miribung are the three voices of TRËİ; the trio sings and performs in theatre productions, concert projects, interdisciplinary collaborations and develops staged music programs that revolve around the question of what it means to be human. In their perception of themselves as citizens of the world, the three women interweave their different backgrounds and cultures. TRËİ is based in Basel/Switzerland; the trio's name comes from Ladin, a Rhaeto-Romanic language from the Italian Alps.
