“Guide to Better Living” is the debut studio album by Australian rock band Grinspoon, released on 16 September 1997. It was produced by Phil McKellar and released under Grudge Records, an imprint of Universal Music Australia.
The album reached number 11 on the ARIA Albums Chart and achieved platinum certification from ARIA, indicating over 70,000 units shipped in Australia.
At the 1998 ARIA Music Awards, the album received a nomination for 'Breakthrough Artist – Album’.
The album showcases a variety of early career sounds, from heavier tracks like “Pressure Tested 1984” to classic rock songs and the ballad “Bad Funk Stripe”
