LA Priest - La Fusion EP (2024) [Hi-Res]

La Fusion was written towards the tail-end of Eastgate’s time living in the Costa Rican jungle where he also wrote the bulk of his acclaimed 2023 album, Fase Luna, and recorded upon his return in his garden shed studio in Wales using his handmade drum machine, GENE. Where Fase Luna offered a raw and unfiltered ticket to another world, La Fusion was written at a time when Sam, although happy in the solace of seclusion, was simultaneously aware that his reconnection with wide-society was on the horizons.

“You cannot blend fusion with something else,” Sam reflects on his return. “Fusion itself is the blending of realities. These are ideas I couldn’t have recorded in the jungle. Maybe they are metropolis songs. I took ideas written outside looking inward and finished them inside thinking outward.”
