Jakob Görris - Assemblage (2026) [Hi-Res]

German drummer and composer Jakob Görris, who built his foundational experience within the jazz scenes of Cologne and Lisbon, presented his debut album as a bandleader titled Assemblage. The newly formed quartet features pianist Emilia Gołos, saxophonist Lucie Graehl, and double bassist Florian Herzog.

The core concept of the project draws inspiration from fine art, adapting the sculptural technique of assembling heterogeneous found objects into a musical context. The compositional framework of Jakob Görris and his ensemble relies on juxtaposing stylistic fragments, fluid improvisation, and the continuous reconfiguration of sonic materials, prioritizing collective interaction and organic process within modern jazz and free improvisation.
