A nine-member rock band formed in Tokyo. In 1966, junior high school classmates Seishiro, Kobayashi, and Haken formed the band ``The Clover,'' but they disbanded the following year as they entered high school. After that, they formed ``The Remainders of Clover'' with senior student Seiichi Takeda. "RC" in the band name is an abbreviation for The Remainders of Clover. The band had been on an indefinite hiatus since 1991, but on May 2, 2009, due to Seishiro's death, the band was effectively disbanded. It had a great influence on the establishment of Japanese rock and the style of rock concerts and live performances commonly seen in Japan today.
