The accordion - a sound chameleon - fits perfectly into any instrumental constellation. The album "Music for Bassoon & Accordion" is an example of a rare partnership whose potential is proven by the stylistic diversity of the recorded repertoire. The still rather modest literature was expanded to include three compositions (Zbigniew Pniewski, Jakub Pawlak and Bogdan Dowlasz), written in 2022-2023 for Mirosław Pachowicz and Elżbieta Rosińska.
The duo of Mirosław Pachowicz - bassoon and Elżbieta Rosińska - accordion has been giving concerts since 2020, presenting on philharmonic and festival stages various programs consisting of original compositions, baroque sonatas with basso continuo, and transcriptions of 19th and 20th century music. An important role in expanding the duo's repertoire is played by compositional commissions, which constitute an important part of the album "Music for Bassoon & Accordion". The artists are lecturers at the Academy of Music. Stanisław Moniuszko in Gdańsk.
