Dorian Wilde is the stage name of Italian multi-instrumentalist Fabio Borghi, who began his musical journey in the 1980s as a drummer with various rock bands (Maxwin, Starline, Silicone and Echo) before turning his attention to keyboards and releasing his debut album 'Better Alone' in 1996, inspired by his love of progressive rock and artists such as E.L.P., Yes & Pink Floyd.
For several years in the late 90s and early noughties he wrote and composed music for short films, documentaries, and cinematographic productions, winning an award for the best documentary soundtrack.
Between 2006 and 2014 he moved away from Italy, and eventually settled in the Caribbean city of Cartagena, Colombia after many years of live performances and two unreleased albums. His passion and love for progressive rock music never wavered during this time though, and he released the entirely instrumental studio album 'Progressive Emotions' in 2014 via the US-based CDBaby Label, which contained some of these previously unreleased tracks.
Three further albums followed in 2016, with another album roughly every 12 months between 2017 and 2023. Fabio plays all the instruments himself, creating hints of vintage 70s prog using keyboards, bass, drums and guitars - both recorded live, and also sampled.
