On the outskirts of Bristol on the edge of the urban sprawl is a small recording facility called Waggle Dance Studios. Much like the TARDIS it contains much more than it appears to from it's humble exterior. In among the racks of studio equipment and musical instruments, surrounded by walls adorned with pictures is the studios house band, The Co-Operators. Modelling themselves on the musical practices of yesteryear, they aim to provide a one stop shop. Studio and band all under one tin roof. Inspired by the classic studios of Jamaica andTitle: Sounds from the Fridge

beyond they produce a unique, authentic and largely nostalgic take on reggae and rocksteady that is distinctly their own.
The driving force behind the project is producer, songwriter and muti instrumentalist Eeyun Purkins. Who as well as becoming a one man rhythm section has built this project and studio from the ground up with
the help of his inner circle, a small selection of singers and players.
Together Eeyun and The Co-Operators have released a crate of singles and four LPs since their 2019 debut 'Rhythms from the Kitchen Sink'. Fast forward to today and they are excited to announce that their fifth LP 'Sounds from the Fridge' is set for release on the 24th of May. Taking the title from a coloqual term used by those who emigrated from the Caribbean to the UK in the 50s and 60s. 'The Fridge' describes the bleak, monochrome and cold social and environmental conditions in post war Britain. An experience that is still largely relevant. This album is as much a love letter to Jamaican music and the muti-cultural experience as it is a comment on the social and political climate of the modern day.
Sounds from the Fridge' features eleven new tracks. With vocals from Stand High Patrol's Pupajim, Joe Yorke, Kitma, Perkie, The Misty Tops, Rebekah and Bee and Talisman's Dennison Joseph. Make no mistake in assuming that this is a various artists compilation however, this record is clearly intended as an album. It's eclectic approach serves to take the listener on a musical journey through the day to day lives of
the singers and players who crafted it. Set to a back drop of organic rhythms played using real instruments and and players, it will touch hearts and move feet.
