Ugly - Twice Around The Sun (2024)

Young musicians from Cambridge, who gathered back in 2016, but since then have only slowly released singles every six months or a year. In fact, this is their first album (which includes those rare singles that they have released so far), and even that in EP format (although its timing is 36 minutes, it can be considered a full-fledged longplay). Plus or minus, they are considered to be part of the black midi and Black Country New Road party (somewhere there in the compositions of the intersection, well, in general, musical like-minded people).
Twice Around the Sun is a magical journey through bright and colorful melodies, elegantly and subtly executed in very interesting, unusual tones with an arrangement full of spacious vocalizations, delicate folk overflows and progressive song forms.
