Adagio is a special meeting between two generations. American cello legend Hank Roberts and Italian trombonist Filippo Vignato got to know each other in the Italian-American band Pipe Dreaam and thanks to a deep musical and human mutual understanding they decided to collaborate also in the intimate format of the duo. First in 2019 with Ghost Dance and now with this new chapter.

Both have made of creative freedom and genres cross-over a salient feature of their musical universe: here, they blend and remix their unique sounds continuously reinventing their roles and musical gestures, easily moving from free improvisation to folk songs to contemporary music and beyond.
